About Us

Our journey took off in 2021, when "The Ashley's" found each other through pure fate and realized pretty quickly that the stars aligned for a reason.

We began to understand that we both shared several passions of entrepreneurship, creativity, tourism, lots of tourism, and most of all, helping single moms.

 

With Ashley Harkrader, a single mom to a spunky, now, 15 year old daughter, and Ashley Kramer, the daughter of a single mom who forged through the fire of raising 3 kids, expanding her education and rising above societal norms simultaneously, it was a no brainer that this passion of ours needed to resonate across all the facets of the businesses - Pretty Clean, Pretty Stays, and now, Whimsy Wheels Wander Tours!

All the companies were built on trust, love, and a village of badasses that we're lucky enough to consider family and without them, some of the best business moves made wouldn't have been possible - Especially when it comes to deciding to completely gut a vintage school bus and build a regal ballroom out of it. 

 

But where did the idea come from? Honestly, it was a pretty natural progression for us. With the amount of conversations we'd have with our vacation rental guests of where to go in the city, what to see, something alcohol free, and something family friendly, we knew there was a huge gap missing in this field, and our team saw it too.

So, as it was getting more frustrating to refer guests to things to do that didn't involve alcohol and family-friendly - thoughts collided, pen to paper happened, a few power tools and a lot of saw dust later - seriously, SO much saw dust!, and TADA!!!! Whimsy Wheels was born.

 

 And we are ready to be your key to the Queen City!

Let us take you on magical voyage through the streets of Charlotte, while telling stories of rich history, haunted tales, all while indulging in a meal fit for a Queen .. Queen Charlotte, that is.
